This past weekend a good friend of mine celebrated her birthday. In this past year she found out that she has intolerances to dairy, soy and gluten, so she wanted a delicious chocolate cake that she could eat and enjoy. That is where Natural Twist stepped in. Not only were we going to provide a cake, but one shaped as a Rubik’s cube. The whole party was themed “Party like it is 1981.”
The cake was chocolate with a layer of fruit and ganache in the middle then covered with a thin layer of vanilla icing. We then topped it with fondant to make it look like a Rubik’s cube.
I did learn that especially with allergen free cakes you need to make sure you wait until you are at the final location to stack them. We had a little sliding action happen on the drive, but that did not take from anything!
The squares made for easy cutting, assuming everyone was excited to eat that much cake!
The birthday girl was very happy about the size of the slice and that she got to eat a tasty chocolate cake!
The gang all sporting our 80’s attire!
Happy birthday Gretchen! We all partied like it was 1981 and it was awesome and Natural Twist was so happy to get to make the cake!
